Good King Henry is a traditional perennial vegetable sometimes known as Lincolnshire Spinach. Once established, the hardy plant returns each spring and produces young leaves that can be cooked like spinach, along with tender shoots that can be prepared rather like asparagus. Seed can take a little patience to germinate, but established plants can remain productive for many years.
